French Numbers Flashcards
Interactive, Spaced Repetition, Free

Updated June 2026

Practice French numbers 0-100 with three modes: see the numeral and recall the French, see the French and recall the numeral, or hear the audio and identify the number. Cards you get right move up a box and come back later; cards you miss drop to box 1 and come back in the same session. The schedule is saved in your own browser, so a deck you started last week picks up where you left it. No signup, no data sent anywhere.

How to Use These Flashcards

The three modes test different recall directions. Number to French is the most common need: you see a numeral and need to produce the French word. French to number trains reading comprehension: you see the French spelling and must identify which number it is. Audio to number trains listening comprehension: you hear the spoken French and identify the numeral.

Start with the 1-20 deck to build your foundation. Once you can get 90%+ correct, move to 1-50, then 1-100. The 70-99 deck is the most important for intermediate learners - it specifically targets the vigesimal range that causes most errors. The 100+ deck covers hundreds, thousands, and millions for advanced practice.

The spacing schedule is a five-box Leitner cycle, and these are the intervals this page uses: a card in box 1 comes back in the same session, box 2 after 1 day, box 3 after 3 days, box 4 after 7 days, box 5 after 21 days. A correct answer promotes the card one box; a miss sends it straight back to box 1. Each of the three modes schedules separately, because recognising quarante-deux by ear is a different skill from producing it from the numeral. The counters above the card show how many cards in the deck are due, how many are still in boxes 1 to 4, and how many have reached box 5.
